Birthday Pixie

I made this card for one of Connor's little girl friends. I also made her a bracelet and she really liked it!
These little ccdesign pixies are so darn cute. I colored her with copics and used Small Lebels Nestabiities to cut her out. I used my scallop rectangle nestabilities to cut the mat. I placed tiny rhinestones in the corners of the scallop rectangle. I stamped the sentiment on PTI Spring Rain cardstock and cut it out with Ribbon Tag Nesties. The little blue flowers were actually colored with copics. They started out a cream color. The paper is from DCWV and the cardstock is PTI Sweet Blush.

Psychic Bella

I love this bella. She has hair like mine! lol I colored her with copics and cut her out with Petite Oval Nestabilities. I cut the sentiment with Ribbon Tags Nestabilities, and painted it with Shimmerz before removing it from the die. This flocked paper by Heidi Grace is so so so gorgeous! You really have to see it in person to appreciate it. The dots are fuzzy and the rest is kind of shimmery. So fun!

Teacher's Apple

There is something about one layer cards that's just so clean and refreshing. I used Papertrey Inks' Teachers Apple on this card. I scored two lines with my scor-pal just to add a little dimension. I thought the gingham ribbon had a bit of a country feel, so it was a good match for the apples. This card could be used for anything!

Gingerbread

Well my Christmas cards are alllllllll done, postage and everything. =D
I used PTI's Holiday button bits for this card. The gingerbread man is sooo cute. I stamped him in a light brown ink, then again with a glue pad and covered him in brown glitter. (I noticed the glitter doesn't stay too well. Any tips for that other than heat and stick powder?) I used snowflakes from 'Holiday Tree' to stamp the background on the Pure Poppy Cardstock.

Now why are you reading this? Go finish your Christmas cards!!! lol

Cosmobella

It's been a while since I've posted a bella card! I used Cosmobella for this one. The GORGEOUS paper is Bloom and Grow by My Minds Eye. I cut my bella out with Long Rectangle Nesties, and traced the die with a spica glitter pen. I thought the bellas' white background needed a little balancing out so I added the big white satin bow next to her.

I'm 95% done with my Christmas cards! Yay! I just need to include a picture of the kids and add postage.

I used PTI's Vintage Ornaments on this card. It's such a fun set to play with. I stamped the ornament in light blue, then aded the stripes in a darker blue, then again with my gluepad/glitter. I used my Labels 3 Nestie for the ornaments' background. I traced the die with a white pen before removing it from the die. AND doesn't this stamp set go PERFECTLY with Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses paper???? LOVE it! I added some large rhinestones, and finished it off with pink satin ribbon.

Gold Embossed Tree

Hey guys! Tonight my husband and I are giong to the Marine Corps Ball. We have been married for 9 and a half years and I've never gone to the ball before! It's an overnight thing in Primm NV, so it'll be fun FOR SURE. I will miss my 'babies', but a break from them will be great.

On to the card.... I just love PTI red. Isn't it great!? I stamped the tree from Merry and Bright with Versamark and used gold embossing powder on it, and on the sentiment. I think it looks really cool! I cut the tree with oval nesties and traced it with a spica glitter pen, as usual. lol
I finished it off with some gorgeous reversible gold satin ribbon.

ihp1109

Time for another i {heart} papers challenge! We were challenged to do this sketch.

The hardest part was cutting triangles with the right dimensions! First I used my Make a Bloom stamp set to stamp the background pattern. I filled in the white space with some polkadots. I traced all the pink lines with a pink spica glitter pen. (Wish you could see it better in the picture!) Next I cut my triangles and mounted them on red cardstock. I ran my pink cardstock through the cuttlebug with my Quickutz Large Polkadot embossing folder and mounted it on the card base. I stamped some red dots on the pink strip and then adhered everything together. This was a fun and challenging card to make! If you want to play along, use keyword ihp1109.

Pretty nice color huh??? I added the buttons to him and mounted him on Eskimo Kisses paper that was cut with my Labels one Nestabilities. I tied it up with PTI Scarlet Jewel ribbon. The sentiment was stamped with PTI's Signature Christmas. =)

It was fun though!

Christmas Angel

How sweet is SHE!!!??? I colored her with Copics and cut her out with Rectangle and Scallop Nestabilities. I used PTI Scarlette Jewel cardstock and Basic Gray Eskimo Kisses paper. I love love love this paper pack! I traced her halo in gold stickles, and also covered her wings in stickles. I used a sentiment from PTI's Merry & Bright Additions, and cut it out with Nestabilities Ribbon Tags. I used Spring Moss twill to attach it to my card.

The sentiment is from PTI's Signature Christmas set.

I'm a Winner

Being the lucky girl that I am, I ended up winning Papertrey's 'I want it All package' for participating in their World Card Making Day challenges! I have been having soooooooooo much fun playing with all of my new stamps! It was a nice prize to win because I only had 2 Christmas stamp sets!

I stamped this background paper using PTI's new Giga Guidlines. This set is one of my new favorites! The tree was stamped with 2009 Holiday Tags and the sentiment was stamped with Holiday Tree. I love PTI's twill ribbon because it makes the most perfect little bows. The colors are Raspberry Fizz and New Leaf; a fun alternative to red and green! I used circle and scallop circle nestabilities to cut my image/mat, and added green stickles to my Christmas tree.

Henry's Memorial

This week has been a very sad one as former DT member Sarah Anderson’s 3 year old son Henry passed away. Little Henry was unable to overcome a virus that made him ill last week.

Lorie Ames has organized a way to donate for a memorial for Henry. Henry loved his local zoo and visited it almost every day in the summer. As a memorial, trees will be planted there in his honor. Melissa at Pink Cat Studio has created a digital stamp to help raise funds for a tree for Henry. All proceeds from the sale of the digi stamp, minus Paypal costs, will go towards the tree.

If you would like to donate towards the tree, please visit PCS to purchase the digi stamp:
http://www.pinkcatstudio.com/Digital/Di ... Monkey.htm

Another way to donate to the memorial is to print out this form and mail in your donation directly: http://www.ci.oshkosh.wi.us/Parks/PDF/M ... mphlet.pdf

You can send in any amount using the form. The funds will be pooled.

Please write on the form that the donation is for Sarah Anderson’s son, Henry. Once all of the money is collected, a tree and location will be selected. If you have questions about the form please contact Lorie Ames. Lorie will be in contact with Sarah along this memorial journey to ensure that her wishes are followed.

To contact Lorie, please visit her blog at http://www.live-love-laugh-create.blogspot.com/

If you don’t know Sarah and would like to learn more about her, please visit her blog: http://scrampinmama.blogspot.com/

Thank you for your help to raise money for a tree for Henry.
